As a Drupal Developer for the Delaware Bay and Bridge Authority, I led the redevelopment and ongoing maintenance of the Veterans Memorial Park website, a crucial platform for the distribution of information regarding bridge statuses, community events, and visitor services. This site plays an essential role in keeping both local residents and travelers informed, ensuring safety and efficient communication during critical times.
I successfully decreased page load speeds by optimizing the site’s performance, resulting in a smoother user experience and faster access to essential information. I also tackled and resolved numerous issues stemming from ages-old legacy code, enhancing stability and reliability. In response to critical events, I managed timely updates and deployments, ensuring that bridge status changes and other important announcements were delivered without delay.
Additionally, I developed a unique Gutenberg implementation using Drupal's Layout Builder, empowering content editors to create dynamic, customizable layouts while preserving the integrity and consistency of the site's design.
